@Mouti13 The Devils were a playoff team last year were it not for two things: some unlucky results in the shootout and the insanity of giving Brodeur 40+ starts.
The former of these may or may not level out this season, while the latter problem has been solved. I see the Devils as a middle-of-the-pack scoring team with an excellent goalie for 2014-2015.

What is the rationale behind predicting the Devils to finish second? As a Devils fan, I am genuinely curious.

I appreciate the Wings love but sadly I feel that the streak ends this year, although I still am a believer they can win the Cup if things go right.
