How Average Draft Positions Have Changed in Recent Weeks: Part 1

September 11, 2017

We present the NHL players that have seen their ADP values change the most over the past three weeks. These changes in ADP (today's focus in on players who are now being drafted earlier than they were three weeks ago) reflect the changes in how managers are valuing these players during their fantasy hockey drafts (these changes in valuation result from injury news, line combination updates, or insanity).

  • Dylan Strome - He'll get his shot as the number 2 or 3 center in Arizona this year and he's still largely being ignored in fantasy drafts.
  • Jason Zucker - He's not owned in many leagues, but beware of his likely regression this season due to anomously high shooting percentage in 2016-2017.
  • Filip Forsberg - As he aims for his third straight 30+ goal season, the Nashville forward is becoming more and more difficult to draft as the season approaches. He's now gone in the fourth round in most drafts.

  • Julius Honka - Although he has just 16 games of NHL experience, Honka should make the Dallas squad this Fall and is likely to earn a spot on the one of their power play units.
  • Erik Karlsson - With news that he's likely going to miss time at the start of the season, it's surprising to see him being drafted earlier and earlier as the season approaches.

  • Steve Mason - If you haven't drafted yet, Mason still holds quite a bit of value since he's being largely ignored in drafts. Even average goaltending from the netminder should produce lots of wins on a offensively potent Winnipeg team.
  • Andrei Vasilevskiy - Has quietly found his way into the early sixth round in most drafts on a playoff-bound Tampa Bay team.
